Post Christmas Priceline Haul - Part 2

Hello Lovelies,

Welcome back to part 2 of my Priceline haul, this one is dedicated to lip and eye products. I hope you guys enjoy : )

Rimmel Glam Eyes HD - 002 English Oak

I’ve wanted to try out one of the Rimmel eye shadow quads for quite a while now, and the other day I finally picked one up. With 4 gorgeous colours it allows you to create a variety of eye looks. Whether you’re after some subtle everyday colour or a full blown smokey eye this is a convenient and easy to use palette for everyone. The most amazing thing about this product is that it can be worn dry for a more subtle look and even wet for a more intense high impact look – by simply moistening the brush and placing it in the desired eye shadow. It even includes a sneaky little “how to” guide for the smokey eye on the back – love!

Rimmel Special Eyes Eyeliner Pencil – Black Magic

When it comes to eyeliner pencils, I want an easy, smooth and no fuss application and this one did just that. With a smooth and blendable formula, it glides on easily and can be smudged out to create any look you are going for. Though I don’t 100% completely agree with the 12 hour smudge proof and fade resistant promise, I definitely did not have to touch up as much as I have had to with previous eyeliners I have used. Like the Maybelline Falsies, this too is ophthalmologist tested, which means it won’t irritate eyes. Definitely recommended, if you’re after an effortless and affordable everyday pencil eyeliner.

Maybelline – The Falsies Volum’ Express Washable

After hearing so many amazing reviews about Maybelline’s Falsies, I thought it was about time that I got my hands on a tube of it too. I’m going to start off by declaring that I have quite long natural lashes, so I may not be the best judge when it comes to whether a mascara lives up to its promise, but I can definitely see how this mascara would work wonders for those of you that need that extra oomph when it comes to your eyelashes. The formula contains keratin which means it easily builds up volume on the lashes, without forming a clumpy look. The flexible wand easily coats every lash, fanning them out and creating “300%” fuller looking lashes. The mascara is even ophthalmologist-tested, which means it’s extremely safe for the eyes and even suitable for those of you who wear contact lenses.

Revlon Super Lustrous Matte Lipstick – 006 Really Red

I’d be lying to myself if I said I didn't have an obsession with Red Lipstick. I think a red lip can look gorgeous on anyone; you just have to find the right shade for you. I can’t go past a good blue based or true red lipstick; I think they are just absolutely stunning. This Revlon Super Lustrous Matte Lipstick is a blue based red, and gives an in between suede and matte finish. When I think of a “matte” lipstick, I envision dry chapped looking lips, with the product settling in the lip creases, but this lipstick glides on smoothly, with a semi matte finish, still providing enough moisture to keep the lips from drying out.

Rimmel Vinyl Max – 151 Devotion

Hello Lips! With the biggest applicator wand I have ever seen, this gloss definitely lives up to its promise of “full coverage high gloss shine in one single stroke”. It also contains plumping properties which means with one simple swipe your lips will become bigger and better than before. I'm not promising Angelina lips or anything but they’ll definitely be plumber and fuller looking. If you’re anything like me and constantly find yourself reaching for your “go to” everyday lipgloss, then this would be absolutely perfect for you.

Please feel free to leave any comments or questions below, that you may have about the products. I’d love to hear from you !

Post Christmas Priceline Haul - Part 1

Hello Lovelies,When I headed on down to my local Priceline store a couple of weeks ago for the post Christmas sales – can I get an amen?! – I thought what better way to kick start my arrival into the big scary world of the blogosphere then to do a haul on all the goodies I purchased. So here it goes! : )

Models Prefer Mattifying Primer
In all honestly I have never really been one to wear primer, I've tried it here and there but never really stuck to it. Though I suffer from large pores around my nose and sometimes an oily T-zone, normally I can’t be bothered making the effort to cover them up. None the less, while walking around Priceline I came across the Models Prefer Mattifying Primer. It promises to smooth and perfect skin as well as minimise fine lines and pores, while mattifying the skin at the same time! I definitely did notice a difference when it came to the mattifying side of it - my ALMAY foundation works well on its own, but I definitely did notice that my pores became less visible and my skin much smoother, which meant putting on foundation was a breeze.

ALMAY TLC truly lasting color™ makeup - 140 buff
I first discovered this foundation probably about 2 years ago. My sister had bought it, but didn’t really feel the need to use it. So of course, I gladly took it off her hands and immediately fell in love with the foundation. After I finished the 1st bottle I discontinued using it; I couldn’t justify spending $32 on an everyday “drugstore” foundation, but when Priceline had its sale, I jumped at the chance and treated myself to a bottle. With a smooth creamy texture and a medium to full buildable coverage, this is a perfect everyday foundation; it provides a flawless, but still natural finish. The product is both hypoallergenic and oil free which means it won’t clog your pores – added bonus! I was able to wear this foundation all day, only using setting powder when I first applied it. My skin didn’t become oily looking or shiny, even after 12 hours. Definitely a highly recommended product if you’re looking for a good coverage foundation for normal to oily skin.

Rimmel Stay Matte Dual Action Concealer – 010 Ivory
I am incredible picky when it comes to concealers. I don’t like when they have an incredibly dewy finish, but I also hate when they dry out my spots like the Sahara desert. When I found Rimmel’s Stay matte Dual Action Concealer, I was slightly hesitant at first, but to my surprise, the finish was absolutely perfect. The outer ring of the concealer stick is the skin tone section to help conceal blemishes, while the centre is a green based concealer to help cover up any redness, as well as containing Cucumber, cotton and chamomile extract to help heal the spot. I would not recommend this as an under eye concealer, as I tried it out and creased quite a bit even when set with powder, but it is definitely a perfect concealer if you’re wanting to hide any spots or blemishes you may have.

ModelsPrefer  Mystique Soft Touch Blush – Charisma
Having such fair skin, I often struggle to find a bronzer that gives me the contouring I’m after without the product looking “muddy” on my skin. That is why I more often than not turn to blush to creature some dimension to my face. When I came across this ModelsPrefer blush, I immediately fell in love with the colour. With a peachy pink tone and a very light shimmer, it is a colour that flatters any skin tone. Packed in a sturdy box container with a flip top lid – similar to Benefits “Box o’ powders” , it also includes a compact brush which fits perfectly inside the casing.

As there were quite a few products and not wanting to bore you all, I have split the haul into 2 parts. Stay tuned for part 2 of the haul, which is made up of eye and lip products. If any of you have tried these products, I’d love for you to leave a comment and let me know your thoughts on how the products worked for you : )Veroniieecar xx :)
