Christmas Gift Guide

Christmas Gift Guide

Hello Lovelies,

I hope you're having an incredible week so far . Can you believe that it's the last week of November and that Christmas is only a month away?! With that in mind, I thought I'd put together a little holiday gift guide, to help relieve some of the stress that comes with the holiday period. Whether you're buying for a not so acquainted colleague at work or your bestfriend who already has everything, I've got you covered !

The number one tip I'd definitely have to say when buying any kind of gift, is don't be afraid to look in the sales. I know many people feel as though they're being "cheap" when they purchase a gift at a discounted price, but whether you buy it at full price, or from the discount section, does it really make a difference ? It just means, you'll have a few extra dollars left in your purse, to make the other endless number of gifts, easier to purchase.

Gift Guide: The Bestie

Gift Guide: The Boyfriend / Guy Friend

I hope you all enjoyed this post and let me know if it was helpful. I'd love to hear what ideas you have for holiday gift purchases.

I hope you have an incredible rest of the week and I will talk to you soon !

NB Slimming Inch Loss Body Wrap Kit

Hello lovelies !

I am so so sorry for being away for so long - almost 2 months in fact. September and October are quite busy months for me and along with that, I've been feeling a little unmotivated and uninspired, but with a fresh drastic hair cut and some time off, I am back and ready to jump straight back into blogging !
I wanted to return with a bang and introduce you all to this amazing product that I have been testing out for a few months now. I was gifted this Inch Loss Body Wrap Kit* from the gorgeous Nicola Bird and her company.

I've always been intrigued with these additional steps that can be taken to help achieve the body you desire. So when I was given the opportunity to test this clay body wrap, I couldn't wait to try it out ! When you purchase the Body Wrap Kit, it comes with a 500ml tub of the contouring clay, as well as 3 compression bandages, a measuring tape and a leaflet with instructions on how to wrap, if you are unsure on how to do it. The clay contains 70 different minerals which help detoxify the body, helping it feel firmer and more slimmed down. It's also great if you've lost some weight or have given birth and you're wanting to tighten you skin and reduce the appearance of stretchmarks.

So far I have used this 4 times - since the end of July - before events where I've worn tight and form-fitting clothing. As my problem area is my lower stomach, I wrapped from just above my pubic bone to slightly above my waist, to help tighten that area.
Each time I used the wrap, I lost a few more centimeters than what I had preciously lost, so my hip measurement hadn't returned back to its original size. In total through the 4 wraps, I have lost 9cm. I know 9cms may not seem a lot to some people, but its perfect for just before a big event when you need to feel just that little bit more toned and tightened in your trouble areas and it gives you that added bit of confidence when wearing a tight piece of clothing.

If you're wanting to see maximum results from your wraps, I'd recommend wearing shape-wear over the compression bandage if possible. I noticed when I wore a pair of high waisted shape-wear briefs, there was a larger difference in the cm's lost, compared to when I used the compression bandages alone. The directions say to keep the wrap on for 60 minutes, but there were a couple of times where I fell asleep with the wrap on and woke up the next morning and removed it. The great thing about the clay is that it doesn't need to be washed off, once you've removed the wrap, as the clay will continue to work on the skin. The ingredients are also 100% naturals, so you don't have to worry about any harmful chemicals on your skin, or absorbing into your body.

Obviously this kit it to be used in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise program. You need to be realistic with these kind of weight loss assisting products, as they aren't going to magically make you loose 20 kilos over night. In saying that, they will make a difference to your body and give you that extra motivation

I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for something to add to their weight loss program or looking for a little body confidence boost before a big event ! I hope you guys enjoyed this post, I'd love to know if this is something you would be interested in trying and your thoughts on it.

The Inch Loss Body Wrap Kit as well as many more incredible products can be found at the website below:

They ship Worldwide ! :)

Wishful Wednesdays: 1 make-up product I'm lusting over, ie: A high end product

Then upload my weekly video on Friday

If this is something you guys would be interested in, then definitely let me know, also if there are any other suggestions you'd like to make, I'd love to hear them ! :)

Social Eyes Lashes Review

Hello Lovelies,

I hope you're all well. When deciding what to write about for today's post, I came to realise that I hadn't written my review on the pairs of Social Eyes Lashes that I had purchased over 3 months ago ! Obviously when I speak about anything on my blog - whether the product is sent to me or I purchase it myself -  I'm going to be 110% honest with you all and I can honestly say these lashes are incredible !

Social Eyes is an Eyelash company, which was created by YouTuber Karissa Pukas and her brother, Hayden. The price of the lashes range from $3.95 to $5.95, which is incredibly affordable, given that they are such good quality and can be worn multiple times ! The postage within Australia and New Zealand costs $5 and for all you international people, there is a flat rate of $10 for shipping. There is a style of lash for everyone in this range, whether you're after a soft and flirty everyday lash or a dramatic night out lash, you will definitely find a pair you love !

The 1st pair I picked up were the lashes in the style "Delight". The style gradual gets longer and thicker towards the outer corners, which helps to elongate the eye and enhance that cat eye effect. These are definitely my go-to night out lashes, as I personally love the winged out cat eye look. They feature a flexible band, which makes them incredibly easy to apply, which is great if you're a beginner or have trouble applying false eyelashes. I've featured these in my Kylie Jenner Make-up Look on my YouTube channel, if you're wanting to see what they look like on the eye.

For times when I'm wanting a bit more drama than the "Delight" pair, I go for the lashes in the style "Irresistible". They feature a similar shape, giving you that winged out look, but these are far longer, and don't have the thicker outer corners. They also have an invisible band, which means they can be worn without any kind of liner along the lash line and are almost undetectable ! This style of lash, I featured in this video, if you'd like to see what they look like applied.

If you're after high quality, but affordable lashes, I definitely recommend checking out the Social Eyes Lashes. They can be purchased for the link below !

I hope you all enjoyed my review of the Social Eyes Lashes and if any of you have tried them, I'd love to hear your thoughts ! I hope you all have a lovely week and I'll see you on Thursday with a new video !

Life Update & A Thank-You

Hello Lovelies,

So I don't really know how to start this post off, because it's not going to about achieving a certain make-up look or products I'm currently loving, it's more a bit of a life update and an opportunity to say thank-you to each and every one of you. This will probably just turn into one big rambling mess, but just bear with me haha.

I want to start off by saying that I can't even begin to put into words how grateful I am, to all of you. On Friday night I hit over 4000 views on my blog. Now I know I say this each and every time I hit a mile stone, but I never once thought that my blog would turn into anything more than just a few friends and family members reading my posts. Being able to see that there are people from all over the world reading my blog, is just absolutely mind blowing to me !

I know that having the highest number of views or followers, isn't the most important thing, but just knowing that there are people out there who are genuinely interested in my blog and YouTube channel, is so incredible.

Through blogging I have also had the opportunity to become friends with 4 of the most incredible girls. Having others around you that share the same interests and passion about make-up and beauty, is just the best feeling. It also makes me realise, I'm not the only one who walks into Priceline planning on buying 1 item and walking out with 5.

I also wanted to apologise in advance, if I miss any videos or blog posts throughout the month of September, like it is for everyone, September is an incredibly busy month for me, with multiple birthdays, including my own ! - hello to never being a teenager ever again. Like always, I will let you guys know through my social media, what is going on with my blog and YouTube channel and whether I will be posting anything that particular week.

I'm sorry that this wasn't like a regular post, I just felt it was necessary to let you all know how grateful I am for all your love and support and how much of an impact you have in my life.

Like always, I hope you all have an incredible rest of the weekend and weekend and I will see you tomorrow with a new video !

Makeup Social App

Hello Lovelies !

I hope you've all been well. Massive apologies for not uploading a video last week, if you saw on any of my social media, I had an incredibly bad reaction on my face, which meant I couldn't put anything on my face except smothering it in paw paw cream haha. So, I am back this week with something a little different and it's a review on the Make-up Social app.

The people from Makeup Social app were kind enough to send me some screenshots of the app in action

The way the app is described, is if Instagram and Make-up Alley (Online Make-up Reviews and Forums) had a baby, then Make-up Social would be it ! It features anything from product reviews, to forums and make-up advice, this app has just about everything. You can interact with others around the globe and share your tips, tricks and thoughts on all things beauty related.

The app allows you to create your own virtual makeup collection of products that you have, as well as being able to make a wishlist of makeup products you are wanting. On the makeup social news feed, you can filter what kind of posts you want to see ie: just makeup, or skincare, or hair etc. Also, underneath each individual post it gives you a percentage to how similar that persons "Beauty Profile" is to yours. So someone that has the same skin type, skin colour, eye colour, etc to you, is going to have a much higher percentage than someone who has completely different features. This allows you to make a more educated decision when deciding whether a product you are wanting to purchase may work for you or not.

Similar to Instagram you are also able to post photos, such as, products you're currently using or loving, as well as the make-up look you're wearing. The awesome thing about this app is that it also allows you to tag the products you're using in the photo, so if you're using a certain lip colour, you can tag your lips and select the brand and shade you're wearing, for others to be able to see and check out.

There all also thousands of product reviews, which include an overall rating, as well as pros and cons and any additional comments a user wants to make about the product. As you can see in the image above, there are also 2 buttons which allow you to save it to your make-up collection or wishlist, or if you were wanting to purchase it, you can click the "Buy Now" button and it will take you to a site that you can purchase it from.

I just wanted to quickly mention I am in no way being sponsored to talk to you all about this app, I just think it's such a great idea for any of you who have an interest in all things beauty related and were after somewhere to interact with others from around the globe, who have the same interests.

Make-up Social is currently only available on the Apple app store, but will be available very soon on the Android Market as well.

If you do decide to download it, my username is veroniieecar, come give me a follow and lets be friends ! :)

I hope you all enjoyed this weeks post and I will see you on Thursday, with a new video !

Stretchmarks, Scars and Blemishes.... Eeek !

Hello Lovelies,

I hope you've all been well ! So I want to talk about something today, that I personally think is still quite a taboo in todays society... Stretchmarks and scars ! Now I know it's not the end of the world, if someone points out a scar or a stretchmark or asks why you have them, but if you are insecure or ashamed about having them in the first place, then chances are it's just going to make you feel even more insecure and bring unwanted attention to them.

-------------

I've had stretchmarks pretty much since I was 12 years old. Having gone through puberty basically overnight  - I swear I woke up one morning with a pair of boobs and hips - I've had them for quite a long time now and as much as I may not like them, they are a part of me and are there for a reason. I'm not going to sit here and tell you how much I love my stretchmarks or how much I love having them on show for everyone and their dog to see, because I would be lying, but as I'm getting older, I'm learning just to deal with them and accepting them as part of my body. In saying that, I still love trying out my fair share of scar and stretchmark fading lotions and oils and have recently come across the Eco. Erase Natural Body Oil*

Eco. Erase Natural Body Oil contains a range of oils that help nourish and repair the skin, including: Sunflower, Olive, Coconut and Vitamin E. The oil is made in Australia and comes from 100% natural ingredients. It comes in a 95ml bottle, with a snap top lid, which is incredibly secure and won't come open. Another great thing about the bottle, is that it needs a little bit of pressure added to it, to squeeze the oil out the top, so you don't have to worry about it all pouring out into your hand and wasting a lot of it.

The oil is recommended to be applied twice a day on damp skin and massaged gently into the skin. I personally only use it every night after my shower, because let's be real, I'm just to lazy to apply it morning and night. I focus the majority of the oil on my chest, hips and bum, then just rub any remaining oil on my stomach and arms, just for a bit of added moisture to my skin. I've definitely already seen a difference in my skin, with it appearing softer and my stretchmarks less pigmented.

This is definitely no miracle cure for stretchmarks and nothing is going to make them disappear over night, but with continued use, this will assist in benefiting the overall appearance of your skin and help make your stretchmarks look less prominent. When it comes to ways of healing the skin and fading marks, you always have to be realistic, some products will work better for some than others and always remember that it takes time and commitment to regularly applying the product to see any sort of benefit. You won't see them disappear after one application, just like you don't see abs after 30 sit ups haha

v v The Eco. Erase Body Oil can be bought at the link below v v

I just want to finish off by saying that, whether you choose to do something to speed up the fading of your stretchmarks and scars or not, you should never let anyone else ever make you feel ashamed or embarrassed about having them, no matter where they are on your body :)

I hope you all have an incredible rest of the week and I will see you all on Thursday with a new video !

Winter Skin Saviours

Hello Lovelies,

I am FINALLY back ! It felt so strange not blogging last week. If you hadn't seen on any of my social media, I have been sick the past week, with swollen Lymph Nodes in my neck and now have a throat infection and head cold, but I couldn't bare to stay away for another week. Seeing as though the weather is currently ridiculously cold here in Melbourne, I thought I'd share with you all a couple of products I have recently been loving, to keep my skin well moisturised in this winter weather.

First up is the Subtle Energies Facial Blend*, which is a facial oil that is packed with a combination of oils, including Jojoba oil, Sesame oil and Sandalwood oil, just to name a few. Having combination skin, I was a little hesitant at first with trying out the oil, as I thought it would just cause my skin to become even more oily, but thankfully, it absorbs right in, whilst still leaving a subtle glow to the skin. The oil has quite a floral scent, as well as some woody tones, from the Sandalwood, so if you're not a fan of fragrant facial products then this probably isn't for you, but I personally find the smell quite calming and comforting. As it's a rich oil, I only use this at night time after I have thoroughly cleansed my face, to restore any lost moisture in my skin.

Over the top of the Facial Blend Oil, I then go in with my NAT. Face Restore Moisturiser* and apply that all over my face and neck. As the formula is quite thin in consistency, it absorbs straight into the skin, so you're not left with any residue. In the mornings, after I have washed my face, I will apply a thin layer of this to moisturise my skin before applying any make-up. Unlike the Facial Oil, this moisturiser barely has any scent to it, so is perfect for anyone who doesn't like fragrant moisturisers.

Below are the links to where you can purchase both of the products:

-------------------

I hope you all enjoyed this weeks blog post and found it somewhat helpful. Sorry, it wasn't overly detailed, I'm still feeling quite under the weather, but will hopefully be back to my old self, with next weeks post :)

Stay tuned for my current skincare routine, which will be up on my YouTube channel on Thursday !

I hope you all have an incredible rest of the week and weekend, and I will speak to you all next Tuesday !

YoungBlood Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Quad Review

Hello Lovelies,

I hope you've all been well, this week I'm back with a product review on the gorgeous YoungBlood Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow Quad in Eternity. I've never tried any of the YoungBlood range, so when I was recently given the opportunity to review various products from different brands, I thought I'd try out one of their Eyeshadow Quads and I was definitely not disappointed !

The quad comes in a gorgeous black case, which is nice and compact to fit in any make-up bag or handbag. It also features a magnet where the edges meet - instead of a regular compact that clicks shut - which is incredibly sturdy and actually takes some effort to pull open, so you don't have to worry about it opening and breaking your eyeshadow, as well as ruining your bag. The compact includes a reasonable sized mirror, which would be perfect if you were needing to touch up your eyeshadow on the go.

The quad includes the shades: Silken, Quartz, Spice and Mink. "Silken" makes the perfect highlight colour, to brighten up the inner eye area and the brow bone. "Quartz" and "Spice" would be perfect if you were wanting to achieve a natural day time look and give the eye a gorgeous golden glow. Finally "Mink" allows you to transition your natural day look, to a smokey night time eye, which would be perfect if you were needing to touch up your make-up for a night out after work.

Another thing I love about the quad, is that each individual eyeshadow has a name. A lot of quads I've seen before, just have an overall name for it, instead of including a name for each eyeshadow, where as this one has both ! The formula of the shadow contains high pigments, which means it has a great colour payoff, as well as including rice powder, which makes the shadow incredibly long wearing

It's currently marked down from $69.95 to $39 on the Facial Co website - linked below - , so I'd definitely suggest picking one up now if you're interested in trying one out, while they're slightly cheaper. There are 4 other quads, with different shades in them, so there is definitely something for everyone
I hope you all enjoyed this review, I'd definitely recommend checking these out, if you're after a high end eyeshadow quad, that's worth the money. I'm also thinking of doing a day to night make-up look on my YouTube channel using this quad, so if that's something you guys would like to see, then be sure to let me know :)

40 Beauty Questions Tag

Hello Lovelies, I hope you're all well ! So today I'm back with a beauty question tag, though it's not specifically reviewing a product or continuously raving about how much I love it, I really enjoy doing these sorts of question tags and I hope you guys enjoy reading them ! :)

I was tagged by the incredibly gorgeous Shayley from Shayley Patricia. I definitely recommend going and checking out her blog and even giving it a follow :)

MAKEUP!

Q1. What foundation do you use?
Foundation had got to be one make-up product that I am the most obsessed about. The 2 foundations I turn to the most are definitely the Maybelline SuperStay and L'Oreal True Match, but if I'm after a foundation with less coverage I love the Bourjois Healthy Mix, plus it smells so yummy !

Q2. How about concealer?
Right now for concealer, I'm loving the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. Another great one is the Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer with the sponge applicator, perfect for highlighting under the eye.

Q3. Do you know your undertone colour?
Yes, I do ! My natural undertone is pink/neutral , but more often than not, I have fake tan on, which cancels out my undertone and makes it appear more yellow

Q4. What do you think of fake eyelashes?
Absolutely love them ! I love the fact that they just add a finishing touch to any eye make-up look and gives eyes that extra bit of oomph !

Q5. Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months?
Yes, I did. Most make-up products will have a little symbol on the back with the number of months you're meant to keep the product.... I can't say I always always listen to them though :s

Q6. What brand of mascara do you use?
Though I constantly venture out and try different mascaras, I always find myself going back to the Essence "Get BIG! Lashes, Volume Boost" Mascara. It's one of those mascaras, that no matter what day I use it, my lashes turn out looking gorgeous, plus it's only $4.10 from Priceline !

Q7. Sephora or MAC?
Seeing as though we don't currently have a Sephora in Australia - Which is going to change, very soon ! - and the fact that the Sephora website doesn't ship to Australia, I'd definitely have to go with MAC. The only downside to MAC in Australia, is that it's basically double the price, compared to America :(

Q8. Do you have a MAC Pro card?
Sadly no, but if I did, I don't think my bank account would appreciate it !

Q9. What tools do you use in makeup application?
Without fail, I always use my Real Techniques by Sam and Nic Chapman brushes. So are such good quality and so affordable as well !

Q10. Do you use a makeup base/ primer for the eyes?
I don't use a specific primer for my eye lids, I'll usually just go over them with some concealer to cover any darkness, or veins and then set that with some translucent powder. I do also love using the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in "Milk" to make my eye shadows more vibrant.

Q11. For the face?
Nope... As Napoleon Perdis says "It's a crime, not to prime" and there are plenty of others who would tell you the same, but I just find I don't really see a difference when I prime my face. Maybe one day I'll find my holy grail face primer, but so far, I'm just happy with moisturising then applying my foundation :)

Q12. What is your favourite eyeshadow colour or shade?
GOLD ! I know that no matter what eye shadow look I'm going for, that it will always turn out nice if I use gold toned eye shadows. It also brings out and intensifies my blue eyes.

Q13. Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
It all depends on what look I'm going for. If I'm doing a winged liner I will always go with liquid - or gel - eyeliner, but if I'm using it to smudge on my lower lash line or to fill in my water line, then I will use a pencil eyeliner.

Q14. How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
Not very often, thank-god ! I think I've learnt how to apply my eyeliner, without accidentally poking my eye. Hopefully I have jinxed myself now !

Q15. What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?
L-O-V-E them ! I have a stack of Barry M and Models Own ones, which are amazing. They allow you to create anything from a super natural eye look, to a gorgeous smokey eye

Q16. Do you use mineral makeup?
I have in the past, but not currently. It's not that I have anything against it, it's more just habit, that I turn to regular make-up.

Q17. What is your favourite lipstick?
My favourite lipstick changes quite often, but for a bold lip, I'm loving the Napoleon Perdis Mattetastic Lipstick in "Veronica" and for a nude lip, the Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick in "03"

Q18. How about lipgloss?
For lipgloss, I don't really have a favourite, as I'm always changing it up, but some that I like are the Revlon Color Burst Lipgloss, Rimmel Vinyl Max Lipgloss and L'Oreal Glam Shine Lipgloss .

Q19. What is your favourite blush to use?
Two of my favourite blushes, that have been featured in my YouTube videos are the Models Prefer Mystique Soft Touch Blush in Charisma and the E.L.F Baked Blush in Peachy Cheeky.

Q20. Do you buy your makeup on eBay?
I have bought some cheap eye shadows palettes off eBay, just to add to my collection and have some variety, but other than that, I'm a little hesitant as some eBay shops will often sell fake products, but charge you the real price

Q21. Do you like drugstore makeup?
Love it ! As I live basically 2 minutes from a Priceline store, I'm often there a couple of times a week, but having a look at different products and picking up some new things that I need. I know there are some people who think that "Drugstore" make-up means bad quality or that you're being "cheap" if you buy that make-up, but I've found that brands such as Maybelline, L'Oreal, Rimmel, etc work so well with my skin and I'd much rather buy multiple drugstore products, than 1 or 2 high end, but be spending the same amount of money.

Q22. Do you go to CCO's (Cosmetic Company Outlets)?
Not really, I have been to a couple, but often find that because the products are being discontinued or the packaging changed, etc, the colours that you find aren't always the ones you want, so it can be quite hit and miss.

Q23. Did you ever consider taking makeup classes?
I've definitely considered taking make-up classes and would love to do glamour make-up, as I think that kind of make-up is just gorgeous !

Q24. Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
I'd like to say, no haha, I think the fact that make-up is a huge part of my life, just in day to day life with doing my own, and others make-up, as well as with my blog and youtube, I've learnt many skills when it comes to make-up and applying it.

Q25. Name a makeup crime that you hate?
MAKE-UP SHAMING ! 110% ! I get that not everyone likes the same products, colours, way of applying make-up, etc, but at the end of the day, it's your face and not theirs. If putting on your foundation with your fingers works for you or wearing bright green eyeshadow makes you happy, then go for it ! No one has the right to make you feel bad about your make-up

Q26. Do you like colourful shades of makeup (lipstick, eyeshadow) or neutral ones?
I'd have to say I like both, it just really depends on what look I'm going for and how I'm feeling on the day. Normally I'll for neutral tones for day looks, but will definitely experiment with colour on a night out, as it's easier to get away with for a night time look.

Q27. Which celebrity always has great makeup?
I know she's not everyone's cup of tea and that many people don't like her and her family, but I'd definitely have to say Kim Kardashian. Since day 1, I have been obsessed with her make-up, whether she's wearing her incredibly contoured and highlighted look with smokey eyes or her more natural glowy everyday make-up

Q28. If you had to leave the house wearing only one makeup item, what would you choose?
I would definitely have to choose mascara. It can make such a difference, but just making your eyes look larger and more awake, even without no other make-up

Q29. Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
Yes ! I used to be quite insecure about leaving the house without make-up on, but now I've come to realise that it's not really a big deal. Especially if it's little things such as going to the supermarket or meeting a friend for coffee, I don't really see the point of wearing make-up, I'm not there to try and impress someone so there's no reason to look flawless and perfected. Don't get me wrong, there are times when I will put on make-up to meet a friend, but I no longer feel as though it's a necessity.

Q30. Do you think you look good without makeup on?
I think now that I'm older, I've come to love myself a lot more than I did when I was younger and be more accepting of the way I look without make-up on. I wouldn't say I'm 100% happy with the way I look without make-up on - I don't think there are too many people who think they do either - but I've come to learn that I don't always need to be wearing make-up to be beautiful :)

Q31. In your opinion, what is the best makeup line?
I'd probably have to say overall, would be Rimmel. There are just so many products from their brand that work for me and I love the fact that even though it's a cheaper make-up brand, that doesn't mean that you're missing out on quality.

Q32. What do you think of makeup?
I think make-up is incredible. I love that it can just help enhance you natural beauty or it can completely change the shape or size of a face feature that you may not like. I think make-up can just be so much fun and experiment with and it's just another way that someone can express their own style and individuality.

SKINCARE!

Q33. How many times do you wash your face daily?
I wish I could say twice a day, but I get kind of lazy. I will wash my wash with water and a facial wash at night time and then just freshen up my skin in the mornings with some toner, to remove any oil that's built up over night.

Q34. What skin type do you have?
I'd definitely say the past couple of years my skin type has definitely changed, I used to be quite a bit more oily, but now I'd say I have combination skin. I still get oily through the T-Zone, but my cheeks are definitely normal, they don't really get oily or dry, just somewhere in between haha

Q35. What is your current facial wash?
The face wash I'm currently using  - even though it's kind of more of an exfoliating one - is the St. Ives Natural Clear Green Tea Scrub. It does contain tiny exfoliating beads, which just removes any built up dirt and make-up from the day, as well as cleaning out your pores really well. Even though it's an exfoliator, I find my skin is fine with using it daily and doesn't react badly to it. Plus the scent is incredible !

Q36. Do you exfoliate?
Yes, I do. I love the feeling of freshly exfoliated skin and knowing that you've just removed the dead skin cells and built up dirt - yuck !

Q37. What brand do you use?
On my face I use the St. Ives Facial Blemish Control Scrub. It contains tiny chunks of apricot seeds, which exfoliate the skin, as well as containing 2% salicylic acid, to help prevent breakouts and also dry any up, that you may have. For my body I use the Woolworths exfoliating coconut body wash. I have a skin condition, so I need something that exfoliates the skin really well and isn't packed full of parabens and nasty things that will make my skin react, and this body scrub works perfectly !

Q38. What moisturiser do you use?
I'm currently trying out the NAT Skincare Restore Moisture Cream, which was sent to me. So far, I'm absolutely loving it ! It's not heavy on the skin, but still feels like it's adding a lot of moisture.

Q39. Do you have freckles?
Yes, I do. I have them across my forehead and the bridge of my nose, and also some on the rest of my body. They used to be far more noticeable when I was younger, but they've slightly faded a bit. I'm one of those people that absolutely loves freckles, so I really miss mine :(

Q40. Do you use eye cream?
No, but I probably should. I usually just add a little more serum and moisturiser around my eye area.... I don't know if it makes a difference, but it just make me feel less bad about not using an eye cream haha

Q41. Do you or did you ever have acne prone skin?
Thank-god, no and never. When I did start breaking out during puberty, I used to think I had the worst skin ever and even went on anti-biotics for my skin to help clear it up. Looking back now, my skin wasn't bad at all, it was more just hormonal breakouts around my chin and that's basically it. I am so so grateful, that I've never had acne prone skin and hopefully never will !

Q42. Have you ever had to use Proactiv?
Yes, I have ! One of my sisters bought the cleanser, toner and moisturiser pack, years and years ago, basically when it had first came out and wasn't really enjoying it, so offered me the products to use. I can't even begin to describe how much they use to sting my skin ! I think I only ever ended up using them 2-3 times, and gave up because they would hurt so much. I don't know if the formula has changed now or maybe their products just don't agree with my skin, but I'm happy with my skincare regime at the moment and wouldn't want to waste my money on something that may still not work for me.

I hope you all enjoyed this post, if you have a Blog/YouTube/etc, then I tag you to do this as well !

Napoleon Perdis Haul

Hello Lovelies,

I hope you all had a lovely weekend, what ever you got up to ! So today, I'm back with a Napoleon Perdis Haul, of all the products I purchased and was gifted from the Slim Aarons Collection event I went to. I hope you enjoy !

First up is the gift we received upon arrival, which included various samples of their China Doll Foundation, Auto Pilot BBB Cream, Auto Pilot Radiance Booting Mask and Stroke of Genius Liquid Cashmere Foundation, as well as a sample of the Long Black Mascara and a full size Luminous Lip Veil in the shade VIP.

---------------

The first item I purchased was the Mattetastic Lipstick in the shade "Veronica". It's a gorgeous blue based red, which means it makes your teeth look incredibly white. Even though it's a matte formula, the Lipstick contains Vitamin E, which keeps the lips moisturised and prevents them from drying out.

The next product i bought was the Color Disk in "Blushing Bride". This is an eyeshadow, but can also double up as a powder highlighter. It's incredibly pigmented, which means you only need the tiniest amount on your brush. As well as using it as an eyeshadow, I also like to apply it to areas such as, the top of the cheek and down the center of my nose, to give a gorgeous glow to my skin.

I also picked up the "Browtox Pack" which is a coloured eyebrow gel, to fill and shape your brows. It's extremely similar to the MAC Dipdown and Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade. I personally don't feel like my make-up is complete, if I haven't filled in my brows, especially because the are naturally quite blonde and thin, so this product just makes it's extremely easy to fill in your brows, as well as mimicking hair like strokes to make your brows appear fuller.

---------------

Next is a gift bag I received, as I spent a certain amount of money, - for the life of me, I can't remember exactly how much - all the products were packaged in a gorgeous black faux leather tote.

The gift bag included a sample of the Auto Pilot Duet Make-up Remover, which is a part oil, part water eye make-up and lipstick remover. It contains Cucumber and Fennel extracts which help to soften and soothe the skin. I've never really been a eye make-up remover user, as I've always found they sting my eyes, but using this, it honestly just feels as though you're wiping your eyes with plain water. It removes absolutely everything - including water-proof mascara - and doesn't sting one bit !

One of the items was a sample of the Long Black Mascara - which was also included in the arrival gift bag. The wand is a very standard shape, but is also slightly curved, which means it follows the natural curve of the eye and coats all the lashes. Naturally having quite long lashes, I never really see a difference when it comes to mascaras, but this formula definitely does coat your lashes nicely and doesn't leave them all clumpy looking.

Next is the Prismatic Eye Shadow Quad in the shade Sandstorm, this particular one is limited edition and only available in the gift bag, but they have 7 other quads with a variety of different shades. This quad features 3 shimmer eye shadows and one matte, they are extremely pigmented and also blend really easily. I featured this eye shadow quad in my Rita Ora Make-up Tutorial, so if you're wanting to see what the shades look like on the eye, you can definitely check out that video.

Finally in the bag were 2 lip samples products, one was the Luminous Lip Veil in the shade "Caramel Kiss" and the other was the Dévine Goddess Lipstick in "Demeter". These shades work perfectly to create a gorgeous natural lip look.

---------------

Finally is another gift bag I received, for spending a certain amount of money, which included another sample of the Long Black Mascara and a full size Luminous Lip Veil in the shade VIP, as we received in the arrival gift bag. This gift bag included a card for a complementary make-up makeover, which can be used to get your make-up done at a Napoleon Perdis make-up counter.

The other lip product that was included in the gift bag was a sample size of the Luminous Lip Veil in the shade "Sienna Shimmer". It's a gorgeous dark nude shade, with  - like the name suggests - a hint of shimmer. This would be the perfect lip shade to pair with a natural bronzed make-up look

And finally, a pair of corner false eyelashes. Being a massive fan of false lashes, I'm definitely excited to try these out, though I think I may have to save them for some sort of dress up, costume party. I think the little black diamantes, add a really cool touch to just a regular pair of false lashes and would be perfect for something such as a Great Gatsby make-up look.

I hope you all enjoyed my Napoleon Perdis haul, I'll also have a video going up on Thursday, which will feature some of these products, so be sure to stay tuned for that.

I hope you all have an incredible rest of the week and I talk to you next week !
